MANGUM BRICK COMPANY IS PROUD TO BE THE OLDEST CONTINUOUSLY OPERATED BRICK PLANT IN THE U.S. WEST OF THE MISSISSIPPI RIVER.
Mangum Brick continues operations today as Greer County’s largest private employer and is proud to have been named Greer County’s Business of the Century and then receiving Oklahoma’s 2011 Governors Manufacturing Leadership Award.
Mangum Brick Company was founded by George Moore, in his words, on the “finest shale and largest quantity I ever saw”. Under the leadership of the Doyle family from the early 1900’s until 1984, Mangum Brick became well known for it’s quality product. In 1964 the company moved the facility to it’s current location approximately 1 mile North of Mangum, Oklahoma and installed a state of the art tunnel kiln, which was in operation until the mid 1990’s. In 1984 ownership transferred to the Jewett Scott family who was responsible for building the current state of the art facility. The company was purchased on 12/31/2009 by MB Holdings LLC, who continues the production of the highest quality brick available. With energetic young leadership Mangum Brick is poised to continue to expand and innovate for the future. We are proud to have provided brick for some of the most beautiful masonry jobs in the country. Our brick has been used on projects from coast to coast and all points in between.
